The India-bound Suzuki Swift was showcased at the Automobile Barcelona 2017, following its launch in the local market. The Suzuki Swift starts from EUR 13,250 and goes up to EUR 16,950 for the top-end 1.0L Boosterjet SHVS in Spain. It is available in two grades: GLE and GLX.

We remind readers that the Maruti Swift will not come in the same specification you see here, in fact, the Body In White of the India-made version would be different.

The Suzuki Swift starts from EUR 13,250 and goes up to EUR 16,950 for the top-end 1.0L Boosterjet SHVS.

The 2017 Suzuki Swift measures 3,840 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width and 1,480 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,450 mm and a ground clearance of 120 mm. Standard features in the top-end Swift GLX grade include automatic LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, ORVMs with power adjustment and heating, 16-inch dual-tone 5-spoke alloy wheels, heated front seats, automatic climate control, 7-inch infotainment system with navigation, reversing camera and engine start-stop system.

The new Swift can be had with a K12C 1.2-litre DUALJET four-cylinder petrol or a K10C 1.0-litre BOOSTERJET three-cylinder petrol. The former produces 66 kW (90 CV/90 hp) and 120 Nm of torque, while the latter develops 82 kW (112 CV/112 hp) and 170 Nm of torque.

Both variants can be equipped with SHVS, which has an electric motor generating 1.9 kW (2.55 hp) and 50 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual is standard on most models, while a 6-speed automatic is available in the Boosterjet variant. An ALLGRIP AWD system is exclusive the 1.2L DUALJET SHVS.

Standard features include heated front seats, automatic climate control, 7-inch infotainment system with navigation, reversing camera and engine start-stop system.

As for the Indian market, the new Swift is expected to launch in early 2018. Unlike the model sold in Spain, the Maruti Swift will not come with SHVS or AWD, while the Boosterjet variant could be introduced at a later time as the Swift RS.
