Ducati Scrambler lookalike Lifan Hunter 125 launched in Thailand

South East Asia has become a hotbed for minibikes shaped like Ducati motorcycles.

Chinese company Lifan has announced the Lifan Hunter 125 in Thailand. The minibike is a copy of the Ducati Scrambler Icon.

Powering the Lifan Hunter 125 is an air-cooled, four-stroke, fuel injected, horizontally mounted powerplant. The minibike Ducati Scramber lookalike will be available for sale in Thailand from July in yellow, red and black body colours.

Its single pod, digital instrumentation resembles the shape of the Ducati Scrambler. The retro styled circular headlamp too gets a LED ring like the Italian machine.

The frame of the motorcycle too shows the clear resemblance to the Ducati Scrambler range while the brown seat adds more of the Ducati to the Lifan Hunter 125. Brakes include petal discs at both ends and the minibike boasts of 14-inch wheels. The handle bar is painted yellow irrespective of the body colour, and a twin barrel exhaust is also on offer.

The Lifan Hunter 125 will be available in Red, Yellow and Black body colours in Thai market from July 2017.

The Lifan Hunter 125 has been priced in Thailand at THB 54,000 (INR 1.02 lakhs).
