Expected to launch internationally from this June.

Courtesy Paultan, an image of the facelifted Honda Jazz have surfaced from Malaysia, during what is described to be a local TVC shoot. This is a first look at the posterior of the 2017 Honda Jazz undisguised.

The rear-end of the facelifted Jazz isn't all that different from the current model, featuring the familiar vertical taillamps with a new lighting cluster, chrome garnish and spoiler. What's new, however, is the bumper design that looks sleeker and dual tone 16-inch alloy wheels. The front-end of the Jazz was revealed via leaked brochure scans from Japan, featuring new LED headlamps and DRLs, as well as a restyled bumper with fog lamps. The Jazz's exterior colour seems to be the new City's Modern Steel Metallic option.

Spy shots from before have given us a glimpse of the interior, which will feature dashboard trim, new instrument cluster backlighting and a new infotainment system.

The India-spec Honda Jazz facelift is expected to receive features like 7.0-inch DIGIPAD system from the Honda City and WR-V, and a push start/stop button. In the Japanese market, the Jazz (or Fit) will get the Honda Sensing suite of driver-assisting technologies such as Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist System, Road Departure Mitigation and more, but do not expect these in India.

As for engine lineup, the Malaysian-spec Jazz is likely to retain the 1.5l i-VTEC 4-cyl petrol motor with 120 PS and 145 Nm of peak torque, paired to a CVT as standard. In India, the facelifted Jazz could also keep the current model's engine lineup, which includes a 1.5-liter i-DTEC engine producing 100 PS/200 Nm and is mated only to a 6-speed manual gearbox, and a 1.2-liter i-VTEC unit producing 90 PS/110 Nm and is mated to a 5-speed manual with an optional CVT. We expect the fuel mileage to be more or less identical to the current Jazz's 18.7 km/L (petrol manual), 19.0 km/L (petrol CVT) and 27.3 km/L (diesel manual).

Prices of the facelifted Jazz in India are expected to be identical to the current version, which retails between INR 5.95 Lakhs - INR 9.27 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). We expect Honda Cars India to introduce the new Jazz in the second half of the year.
