India-bound 2017 Honda CR-V launched in Saudi Arabia

All-new Honda CR-V now available in the Middle East.

After making its regional debut in the Middle East on 15 May 2017, the 2017 Honda CR-V has now reached Saudi Arabia. The fifth generation Honda CR-V was launched in the country by Abdullah Hashim Co. Ltd., Honda's sole distributor for the region.

The 2017 Honda CR-V is offered in Saudi Arabia in four grades: DX (2WD), LX (2WD), EX (AWD) and Touring (AWD).

The 2017 Honda CR-V is offered in Saudi Arabia in four grades: DX (2WD), LX (2WD), EX (AWD) and Touring (AWD). LED daytime running lights, LED tail lights, power door mirrors, multi-view rear camera, 4-speaker audio system with 5-inch display screen, electric parking brake with automatic brake hold function, cruise control, ABS with EBD, VSA, TCS, AHA (Agile Handle Assist) and dual-front airbags are standard.

Higher-end grades are equipped with more features such as LED headlights, LED fog lights, power tailgate with adjustable height, power door mirrors with auto tilt function, paddle shifters, i-Dual Zone climate control, rear AC vents, 3-spoke leather steering wheel, 8-way power adjustable driver seat with 4-way power adjustable lumbar support, 4-way power adjustable passenger seat, leather gear knob, 7-inch Display Audio touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation and 8 speakers, Honda Lanewatch, parking sensors, side and side curtain airbags and driver attention monitor.

The Saudi Arabian-spec 2017 Honda CR-V measures 4,586 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width and 1,678 mm in height, has a wheelbase of 2,660 mm and offers a ground clearance of 199 mm (2WD)/209 mm (AWD). As the Honda Pilot is sold in the region, Honda offers the all-new CR-V only in the 5-seat version.

Under the hood, there's the 2.4-litre i-VTEC four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 184 hp at 6,400 rpm and 244 Nm of torque at 3,900 rpm. Power is sent to the wheels via a continuously variable transmission. An all-wheel drive system is available.

A report said last year that Honda would introduce the CR-V in India in Q3 2017 with the company planning to localise 65% of the car.
