Jeep has announced that it will debut a new concept SUV at Auto Shanghai 2017 on 19 April 2017. Along with the announcement, the company has dropped two teasers of the concept SUV.

Jeep concept SUV front teaser
The new Jeep concept SUV is apparently bigger than the Jeep Renegade but smaller than the second-gen Jeep Compass.

The teaser images suggest that the new Jeep concept SUV is bigger than the Jeep Renegade but smaller than the second-gen Jeep Compass introduced last year. It seems to feature the signature 7-slot grille similar to the Jeep Grand Cherokee and slim headlamps reminiscent of the Jeep Cherokee. At the sides, the pronounced, squared wheel arches are seen. The beltline swiftly rises from behind the C-pillar to give some character to the glasshouse. At the rear, the back glass is mildly raked, while the wraparound tail lamps stretch outwards to the quarter panels.

The new Jeep concept SUV falls under the "New Energy Vehicle" classification in China, meaning that it's either a pure electric vehicle or a plug-in hybrid vehicle most likely powered by a petrol-electric powertrain. No other details about the concept are available.
