Renault Brazil has launched the newest iteration of the Renault Duster Dakar Edition, which is now on sale at prices ranging between BRL 74,090 to BRL 87,220. The Dakar edition pays homage to the Dakar Rally, one of the most gruesome cross country rallies hosted each year.

The Dakar II edition is a bit different from the model sold previously. The gets new 16-inch dual tone alloy wheels and black ORVM caps, while the interior has beige dashboard panel and black leather/fabric combinations with contrast white stitching. Otherwise, most of the exclusive features are identical to the previous Dakar.

For instance, it has the Dakar Rally logo, a Dakar Rally map across the lower profile, and the Outsider kit option, which adds tougher body cladding across the sides and an extra pair of fog lamps mounted on the bumper protector. The interior is equipped with parking sensors, electric mirrors, 7-inch MEDIANAV touchscreen featuring GPS, audio system with four speakers, aux and USB input, and Bluetooth connectivity.

In Brazil, engine options for the Duster include the 1.6- and 2.0-liter flex-fuel engines paired to manual and automatic transmissions (2.0L only). The top-end 2.0-liter variant also gets a 4WD system as well.
