Hyundai’s compact sedan to get its mid-life facelift.

The Hyundai Xcent was launched in India in March 2014. To keep the model fresh, Hyundai has readied a facelift and will launch it in the new avatar today.

The 2017 Hyundai Xcent features a thoroughly updated exterior with extensive changes to the front and rear fascias.

The 2017 Hyundai Xcent features a thoroughly updated exterior to further distinguish it from the 2017 Hyundai Grand i10, the hatchback on which it is based. Up front, the new model loses the twin-grille layout for a large grille inspired by the Hyundai Elantra, and it features reshaped fog lamps, revised bumper, daytime running lights and resculpted hood.

The profile has remained largely unchanged, save for the new design wheels. At the rear, the sub-compact sedan gets wraparound tail lamps, reshaped bootlid and new chrome applique.

While the exterior gets a considerable amount of changes, the interior will remain unchanged mostly. The 2017 Hyundai Xcent will likely have only minor revisions to the centre console, with some changes to the buttons.

The feature list will see addition of Shark Fin antenna, smartphone holder, 7-inch AVN touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, MirrorLink and Voice Recognition and alternator management system. On the flipside, Hyundai has reportedly deleted many features from each grade of the car. The company will offer the new Xcent in E, E+, S, SX and SX (O) grades.
