Hyundai will launch the 2017 Hyundai Xcent (facelift) in India on April 20, nearly three years after the current version came out. Ahead of its launch spy shots have revealed the facelifted exterior, featuring significant revisions and new features. Here's a brief pictorial comparison between the 2017 Hyundai Xcent and its predecessor.
While the previous Grand i10 and Xcent shared the overall front fascia, the facelifted models will have distinct designs. The facelifted Xcent, as in the Elantra, gets the large grille with chrome-finished surrounds and vertical slats for a bolder look. The bumper has also been restyled to look sportier than the outgoing car.
At the back, the design changes are equally significant. The new wraparound taillamps are larger and help create a wider look for the posterior, and the bumper has also been slightly redesigned, featuring a black insert and horizontal strips. Top-end variants also get a shark fin antenna on the roof, rather than the conventional black antenna.

Although not yet official, the Xcent's engine lineup will include the familiar 1.2-litre Kappa four-cylinder petrol engine, while the 1.1-litre CRDi three-cylinder diesel engine will be dropped for the new 1.2-litre U2 CRDi three-cylinder diesel engine. The latter is tuned to produce 75 PS and 19.4 kgm (190.25 Nm) of torque in the 2017 Hyundai Grand i10.
