Will go on sale in October, reportedly.

With the Tata Hexa on sale now and Tata Tigor officially revealed, Tata Motors's focus will be undivided on the rollout of the Tata Nexon. IAB reader Naseeb Nisar has managed to click new spy shots of the Tata Nexon in low light conditions.

The Tata Nexon is based on the same platform as the Tata Bolt and Tata Zest.

The Tata Nexon seen in the spy shots is almost completely camouflaged, but there are no secrets about its design and styling, as the car was presented in production form at the Auto Expo 2016, and at the Geneva Motor Show this month. Created using the IMPACT design language, the B-segment SUV is based on the same platform as the Tata Bolt hatchback and the Tata Zest sedan. It measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,811 mm in width and 1,607 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,498 mm and a ground clearance of 200 mm.

Tata Motors will likely offer the Tata Nexon with the 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine and an all-new 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine. The petrol model will have a 5-speed manual transmission, while the diesel engine will get a 6-speed manual transmission. The Tata Nexon Geneva Edition came with a 6-speed manual transmission and a terrain management system which hints at a segment-first AWD in the top-end variant.
