Over 40 per cent bookings for top-end City ZX petrol CVT.

At the launch of the WR-V in Delhi, Honda Cars India President and CEO, Yoichiro Ueno, revealed that they have received over 14,000 bookings for the new Honda City since launch, of which 40 percent constitute the top-end Honda City ZX petrol CVT.

40 percent of the overall bookings constitute the top-end Honda City ZX petrol CVT.

This is despite the fact that the City ZX petrol, priced from INR 13.53 Lakh (ex-showroom), is the most expensive sedan in its class, close to the prices of larger sedans like the Toyota Corolla Altis and Hyundai Elantra, and is only available with the 1.5 petrol engine and CVT. The good response towards the top-end model could be attributed to the more premium looks and well-appointed interior with a good list of equipment, and the inclusion of six airbags as standard.

The facelifted Honda City ZX features restyled bumpers, new LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights, LED fog lamps, LED tail lamps, new diamond-cut and two-tone alloy wheels in 15- and 16-inch sizes, LED license plate lamps and trunk lid spoiler with LED brake light. Inside, the 2017 Honda City ZX has beige upholstery with dual-tone beige and black trims, a new 7-inch Digipad touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, voice recognition and MirrorLink, new white and red illumination for the engine push start-stop button, LED cabin lights, and rear-adjustable headrests.

Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and 6-speed manual gearbox as standard in the petrol and diesel, respectively, while a CVT is exclusive to the petrol.
