India-spec 2017 Honda City teased ahead of its Feb 14 launch

Honda Cars India has released the first teaser of the 2017 Honda City, confirming a national launch for February 14. Bookings are currently taken across all Honda dealerships for a minimum deposit of INR 21,000.

The official micro website of the 2017 Honda City also highlights some of the new features in store. Honda revives the range-topping 'ZX' grade for the new City, which comes equipped with LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, rear taillamps, 16-inch diamond cut alloy rims, LED tail lamps, and a spoiler with LED brake light. Visually too, Honda has facelifted the front-end to look more premium and similar to the 10th generation Honda Civic.

Inside, the City ZX will feature the same design and colour combination: black dashboard contrasted by silver accents and beige leather upholstery. On equipment, the City ZX gets a new Digipad 7-inch touchscreen system with navigation, browser and phone link, sunroof, and six airbags.

The engine lineup comprises of the same 1.5L i-VTEC petrol and 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engine. The former is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission (17.4 km/L mileage) or a 7-step continuously variable transmission (with paddles in VX and ZX grades; 18.0 km/L), and the diesel is linked to a 6-speed manual transmission (25.6 km/L mileage).
