Global launch reported in Q2 2017.

The seventh-gen Hyundai Sonata has been on the market since 2014 and Hyundai is readying a facelift for the car. In the latest, Autotribune.co.kr has published renderings of the facelifted Hyundai Sonata to show the changes expected on the car.

The 2018 Hyundai Sonata would get the new Cascading grille seen on the 2017 Hyundai i30 and 2017 Hyundai i10/Grand i10.

The 2018 Hyundai Sonata's rendering seems to have been created based on its spy shots that have been making rounds on the web since August last year. The facelifted Sonata would get the new Cascading grille seen on the 2017 Hyundai i30 and the 2017 Hyundai i10/2017 Hyundai Grand i10, tweaked headlamps, new, LED daytime running lights and new tail lamps with LED signature.

Other changes on the outside may include revised bumpers and new design alloy wheels. The interior of the 2018 Hyundai Sonata has not been seen yet, but not much is expected to change except the trim and upholstery choices, and perhaps an upgrade to the infotainment system. As for the changes to the engine line-up, the current 24 hp5 2.0-litre turbocharged engine could be replaced by a more powerful unit with the same displacement.
