The 2017 Triumph Street Triple range gains significant mechanical changes.

The 2017 Triumph Street Triple range got a new flagship last month in the form of the Street Triple RS. Packed with adrenaline the motorcycle gets a significant performance boost over the rest of the range.

Powered by a 765 cc liquid cooled, DOHC, in-line three cylinder mill, the Triumph Street Triple RS aims to be at home on the streets as well as the race track. Coupled to a 6-speed gearbox the engine is capable of producing 123 PS of maximum power at 11,700 rpm and 77 Nm of peak torque at 10,800 rpm. That’s a 16 percent increase over the power output of the previous generation model.

The 2017 Triumph Street Triple RS gets Showa big piston fully adjustable forks up front, Ohlins STX fully adjustable rear mono shock, and Brembo M50 monobloc front callipers. Riding modes are increased to 5 which apart from the road, rain, sport and rider program includes a track mode. The new TFT colour instrumentation can be controlled by a 5-way joystick control.

Other features include switchable traction control, ABS, gear position indicator, LED headlamps and a quickshifter. The 2017 Triumph Street Triple RS tips the scales at 166 kg (dry) and has a seat height of 825 mm. The bike is shod with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres. Colour options include Phantom Black and Matt Silver Ice.
