Changes are purely cosmetic.

Honda had launched the 2017 Honda City in Thailand yesterday at prices identical to the outgoing model. It's also rumoured to launch in India this month, featuring the same cosmetic changes introduced in the Thai spec City.

Here's a brief pictorial comparison of the 2017 Honda City and the outgoing model.

Exterior:

Most of the significant changes attributed to the facelift are on the exterior, especially the front-end. Honda has drawn inspiration from the new Civic to facelift the City, which can be seen in the new chrome grille that extends into the redesigned LED-powered headlamps, a chrome garnish highlighting the lower portion of the mesh grille, and the new Cosmic Blue exterior option.

The 3-part intake of the front bumper has been redesigned, while the rear bumper gets pockets with black plastic inserts. The top-end SV+ grade now comes with new 16-inch alloy wheels with a diamond cut finish.

Interior:

The interior, however, looks mostly identical to the outgoing City. It now comes with an all-black cabin contrasted by dark gun-metal trim on the dashboard, gloss black garnish on the centre console and bright silver accents.

Some of the new features in the facelifted City are a speed-sensing auto door lock, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, cruise control, 60:40 split folding rear seats, LED cabin lights, a 6.8-inch touchscreen audio system and a new reverse parking camera.
