India Yamaha Motor recently confirmed that they will be launching something on January 24, 2017.

A YouTube video has come up which gives a clear view of Yamaha’s upcoming mystery motorcycle. Powered by a Blue Core mill the bike was snapped in the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, a few kilometres from the Yamaha manufacturing facility.

The motorcycle is expected to have an engine displacement in the range of 250 to 300 cc. The crankcase cover and the positioning of the engine bear heavy resemblance to the Yamaha Fazer 250 sold in Brazil. This has lead to widespread speculation of a spruced up quarter litre by the Japanese manufacturer.

The bike gets right side down forks up front and a mono shock in the rear. The Blue Core badging is present on the fuel tank. The fuel tank gets a well-defined knee recess carved in it and the plastic region can be an ideal position for the rider to lock his or her feet. The tank extension and split seats try to add more character to the bike.

The headlamp resembles the one seen in the Yamaha M-Slaz and the exhaust canister seems inspired from the FZ series.
