Yamaha to unveil yet another ‘New Chapter’ this January 2017.

India Yamaha Motor has sent us a Block Your Date for a press conference in New Delhi on January 24, 2017.

One possibility is the Yamaha FZ250 which carries a mill shaped much like the one seen in the Yamaha Fazer 250 sold in Brazil. Image courtesy: Rushlane.

Post the launch of mass market products like the Saluto RX, Fascino and Cygnus RayZR, Yamaha is expected to turn its attention on premium offerings.

The best guess for the event on January 24, 2017 will be the naked street machine spotted on Indian roads. The bike has even been seen sans camouflage and is expected to house a single cylinder, oil cooled mill. The exact engine displacement is not known but considering the fact that the engine follows the design of the Yamaha Fazer 250 sold in Brazil, the upcoming bike will be a 200-300 cc model.

There is also a possibility, although very faint, that Yamaha might surprise everyone and launch the eagerly awaited Yamaha R15 v3.0. Although not spotted in India yet, the motorcycle was recently spotted in Indonesia confirming the presence of upside-down forks up front.
