Likely to break cover next year.

Along with the 2017 Range Rover Sport (facelift) and 2017 Range Rover (facelift), Land Rover is current working on an entirely new model - the Range Rover Sport Coupe. Expected to be presented sometime next year, the coupe-styled SUV has been spied testing in Europe, courtesy Punto Kilometrico.

The Range Rover Sport Coupe will be the fourth member of Land Rover's luxury sub-brand.

Previously referred to as the Range Rover Evoque XL, the Sport Coupe will be the fourth model of the Range Rover family. It will be positioned between the Evoque and Range Rover Sport and rival the BMW X6 and the Mercedes GLE Coupe. With a length of around 4.7 metres, it will be a tad smaller than the BMW X6.

The Range Rover Sport Coupe will be based on the Jaguar F-Pace's aluminum intensive architecture platform. Previously it was said that a three-row seating configuration would be available, but recently reported as not the case. That's because the platform underpinning the SUV is not capable of being stretched for three-row seating. Instead, 4- and 5-seat seating configurations will be offered.
