Last year, the Honda CR-V set a new annual sales record in the USA with a Y-o-Y growth of 3.2% to 3,45,647 units. The company sold 30,306 units of the compact SUV last month, taking the year-to-date sales figure up to 2,93,799 units, putting it on course to beat last year's numbers.

With the all-new model joining the line-up soon along with the available units of the outgoing model that could be sold with incentives, it seem like the Honda CR-V's growth story is only starting in the USA.

The 2017 Honda CR-V will be available in four trim levels in the USA: LX, EX, EX-L and Touring. The base LX trim level will be powered by a 2.4-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 184 hp and 180 lb.-ft. (244.05 Nm) of torque. The rest of the range gets a new 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine good for 190 hp and 179 lb.-ft. (242.69 Nm) of torque. A continuously variable transmission is standard.
