New Ford EcoSport confirmed to debut on 14 November

Rap music artist DJ Khaled said in a Snapchat video posted last Wednesday that he will present the world premiere of the Ford EcoSport on Monday (14 November, 2016). Audience casting and fan engagement agency 1iota has confirmed on its website that new model will debut with the punchline "Go Small, Live Big".

It is not China or Brazil, but USA which will host the world premiere of the new Ford EcoSport.

The Ford EcoSport is one of the four new SUV nameplates the Blue Oval has confirmed to introduce in the next four years in the USA.

Changes on the 2017 Ford EcoSport are well documented in our earlier articles. The Fiesta-based crossover will feature new front and rear fascias with details coming off the Ford Edge. Inside, the EcoSport will receive a new dashboard, SYNC3 infotainment system and new cabin materials. Under the bonnet, a new 1.5-liter three-cylinder petrol engine will assume duty paired to an AWD system.

The Ford EcoSport is built in India, Thailand, Brazil and Russia, and from 2017, it will be made in Romania too. The U.S.-spec version is reported to be shipping from India, where the Euro-spec version's production will end next year.

The Ford EcoSport goes up against the Chevrolet Trax, Buick Encore, Nissan Juke, Honda HR-V and the Mazda CX-3.
