The Volvo S90 is already available to order and is now reaching the dealerships in the country. It’s available in two trim levels – Momentum and Inscription. Power options include T5 gasoline and T6 gasoline, with the latter being available only in the Momentum grade.
The T5 gasoline engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit that makes 250 hp and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. The T6 gasoline engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder gasoline engine that develops 316 hp and 295 lb.-ft. of torque. Both T5 and T6 engine models feature the 8-speed Geartronic automatic transmission as standard, but the latter also has an all-wheel drive system.
In the USA, the S90 T5 Momentum, S90 T5 Inscription and S90 T6 Momentum are priced at $46,950 (INR 31,22,879.25), $50,450 (INR 33,55,681.75)and $52,950 (INR 35,21,969.25) respectively.
The Volvo V90 and V90 Cross Country will launch in the U.S. market sometime in 2017. Also planned next year, is reportedly the S90L, the long-wheelbase version of the S90 sedan that will premiere on the Chinese market this year. Like the Volvo S60L (S60 T5 Inscription), the S90L will be sourced from China.
