Affects only the 0.8L variant of the Kwid.
Renault India has initiated a recall for the Renault Kwid, for a fault that lies in the fuel hose of the hatchback. The carmaker did not go into details, but reports say that a fuel hose clip will be added to affected cars and the service centres will also analyze the functioning of the fuel system to fix any fuel flow issues.
The recall addresses the Renault Kwid 0.8L variant manufactured until May 18, 2016. The carmaker did not divulge the number of cars affected, though the repair will be carried out at no cost to the customer. At the time of publishing this story, calls to Renault India’s spokesperson went unanswered.
The Renault Kwid, launched in September 2015, has quickly become a success story for the carmaker. Launched with a 0.8-liter three-cylinder SCe petrol engine, Renault India launched the Kwid 1.0-liter variant in August this year and is expected to introduce the Kwid AMT in the coming weeks.
The Renault Kwid is priced between INR 2.64 lakhs and INR 3.73 lakhs for the 0.8-liter variant and INR 3.82 lakhs to INR 3.95 lakhs for the 1.0-liter variant, ex-Showroom, New Delhi.
