Hyundai of South America has released more teasers of the South American market Hyundai Creta, which will be revealed at the Sao Paulo Auto Show on November 10. One of the teaser images shows the grille extending to the headlight clusters with a chrome finish, a design highlight unseen on the Indian market Creta, or the China-exclusive ix25.

Other design changes are expected to include a wider hexagonal grille with chrome surrounds, horizontal foglamps, a redesigned bumper, and tweaked taillamps with a full-width chrome garnish between them. These design updates should be incorporated into the Creta facelift (ix25 facelift) for India and China over the course of time.

For the South American market, a 1.6-litre CVVT flex-fuel engine borrowed from the Hyundai HB20 family will be made available. It produces 128 hp and 16.5 kgf.m (161.81 Nm) of peak torque and is expected to get a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox. It’s unclear if an AWD system will be offered.
