Sales of the China-made Buick Envision gather pace in USA

The 2016 Buick Envision went on sale in the U.S. market in May this year. Since its launch, a total of 4,478 units of the car have been delivered in the country. August saw its best monthly sales so far - 1,531, units. The mid-size crossover is built by the Shanghai-GM joint venture in Yantai, China, and is a rare case of a Chinese-made model selling in the USA.

The 2017 Buick Envision is available in four trim levels: Envision, Preferred, Essence, Premium and Premium II.

In the USA, Buick is currently selling both MY2016 and MY2017 Buick Envision. The 2017 Buick Envision is available in four trim levels: Envision, Preferred, Essence, Premium and Premium II. Prices start at US$34,065 and go up to US$44,960.

Noteworthy features of the 2017 Buick Envision are HID projector beam headlamps, LED signature lighting, 19-inch, 10-spoke aluminum wheels, hands-free power liftgate, power moonroof, adaptive cruise control, tri-zone automatic climate control, semi-digital instrument cluster with an 8-inch multi-color configurable display, 8-inch Buick IntelliLink touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and 7-speaker Bose premium sound system.

The 2017 Buick Envision is available with 2.0-liter turbocharged and 2.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engines.

The 2017 Buick Envision is available with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 252 hp and 260 lb.-ft. of torque and a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder gasoline engine that develops 197 hp and 192 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, and an all-wheel drive system is available with both engines in select trim levels.
