Expected to arrive in early-2017.
Motor Vikatan has acquired spyshots of the 2017 Chevrolet Beat testing in India, ahead of its launch scheduled for early next year. The new Beat hatchback will spawn two new models: Beat Essentia compact sedan and Beat Activ crossover.
Chevrolet has revealed the exterior of the next gen Beat, which is heavily inspired by the styling of the international-spec Chevrolet Spark. It features an updated Chevy 2-part grille flanked by large headlamps, chrome embellishment on the grille and headlamps, roof rails, round foglamps on either side of the lower bumper, new taillamps and a re-positioned registration plate area.
Changes to the interior were previewed by the Beat Activ and Essentia concepts at the Auto Expo 2016. The next gen Beat will come with a dual-tone dashboard housing a 7-inch MyLink infotainment system and a revised bike-inspired instrument cluster. Improvements to the build quality as well as materials are also expected.

The next gen Beat will continue riding on the outgoing Beat’s M300 platform. Engine lineup is reported to include a 1.0L petrol engine, which is a downsized version of the 1.4L four-cylinder Ecotech motor from the Spark, and a 1.0L TCDi diesel engine.
