Toyota Innova Crysta boosts TKM's sales by 25% in June

Registers increase in sales despite ban in Delhi NCR.

Toyota Kirloskar Motors have announced that they registered an increase in sales by 25 percent last month, thanks to the demand for the Toyota Innova Crysta - the second generation of the popular Innova MPV.

Toyota sold 7,500 units of the Innova Crysta in June.

Speaking about TKM's sales performance, Mr. N Raja, director (sales & marketing) said:

Our sales have grown in the range of 25-27 percent in June. We should close the month with domestic volumes upwards of 13500 units. The response to Innova has been very good.

Toyota sold 10,464 cars in June 2016, of which 7500 units are the Toyota Innova Crysta, while the rest comprises of the Toyota Camry, Toyota Etios and Etios Liva, for which sales shot up by about 50% and 10% respectively.

The increase in sales comes from demand for the Toyota Innova Crysta - the second generation of the popular Innova lineup.

In May, the the Toyota Innova Crysta managed to overtake the Maruti Vitara Brezza and Hyundai Creta (two of the most popular SUVs in the market) and become the top selling UV as well as 9th best selling vehicle of the month.
