Here is a list of cars and bike that will launch in the month of June. While some of them are brand new cars revealed at the Auto Expo 2016 or at a later period, others are just new variants of their respective model currently sold.
1. Mercedes GLC
Mercedes will be launching the Mercedes GLC for the Indian market on June 2, thus filling the sizable gap between the Mercedes GLA and Mercedes GLE. It is available in both petrol and diesel avatars, paired to a new 9-speed 9G-TRONIC automatic gearbox.
2. Mahindra e-Verito
Mahindra will launch the full electric version of the Mahindra Verito on June 2. Dubbed as the Mahindra e-Verito, it was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2012, but is only entering production now. It is capable of running 100 km on full charge, and the batteries can be charged in 1.5 hours if customers spec for the fast charge option in the top-end grade.
3. VW Ameo price announcement
Volkswagen India will announce the prices of its first ever sub-4m sedan - the VW Ameo - on June 5, while initial deliveries are expected to commence in the next month. Reports suggest the VW will launch the 1.2 MPI petrol variant, before introducing the diesel variant that will pack an updated version of the 1.5 TDI engine.
4. Datsun redi-GO
Nissan has confirmed that the Datsun redi-GO will launch for sale on June 7. It is the second product to be based on Nissan's CMF-A platform, and is expected to be priced between INR 2.5-3.5 Lakhs. The redi-GO sources the 0.8L three cylinder engine from the Renault Kwid, which produces 54 hp and 72 Nm of torque. It is one of the most fuel efficient petrol hatchbacks in the country, averaging an ARAI-certified 25.17 km/L.
5. Porsche Macan 2.0L
Porsche India has opened bookings for the Porsche Macan 2.0L in India, for which deliveries are expected in November-December 2016. Priced from INR 97.71 (ex-showroom Kolkata), the less-powerful variant is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged four cylinder engine that produces 252PS and 370Nm, which is sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed PDK.
6. Bajaj V15 Wine Red Color
Bajaj will introduce a new Wine Red color of the Bajaj V15 in this month. Until now, it was only available in white and black colors with graphics. Otherwise, no other changes have been announced for the 150cc commuter.
