The fifth generation VW Polo was unveiled to the world at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show and at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the B-segment hatchback was introduced in a facelifted avatar. Now, Volkswagen is working on the sixth generation 2017 VW Polo, and here's a speculative rendering from Auto Bild
The German publication says that the VW Polo will be larger in its sixth generation. The current model measures 3,972 mm in length, 1,901 mm in width (including door mirrors) and 1,476 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,456 mm. The all-new Polo will be based on the MQB platform, and shed 70-85 kg, suggests the report.
The Euro-spec 2017 VW Polo will be equipped with advanced features like adaptive LED headlights, adaptive suspension and fully digital instrument cluster. 1.0-litre, 1.5-litre and 2.0-litre petrol and 1.6-litre diesel will be the options under the hood.

Auto Bild adds that the 2017 VW Polo will have its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show next year and enter production in early Summer (June-August 2017). The Indian launch of the all-new Polo will be at least a year away from its European launch, because Volkswagen will need to retool the Chakan plant to manufacture an MQB platform car, if it plans to bring the European Polo to Indian shores.
