The new Trailblazer features sleeker headlamps with LED DRLs, wider grille and a more aggressive bumper with larger foglamps.

Most of the changes attributed to the facelift are concentrated on the front-end of the Trailblazer, featuring sleeker headlamps with LED DRLs, wider grille and a more aggressive bumper with larger foglamps. The rest of the Trailblazer is largely identical to the model currently on sale.

Inside, the 2017 Trailblazer will receive an all-new dashboard trimmed with better, premium materials. It is likely to come equipped with an 8-inch MyLink infotainment system that offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a slightly updated instrument cluster, and silver accents around the central HVAC vents.

Under the hood, the new Trailblazer will continue offering the 2.8-litre Duramax diesel engine that develops 200 PS and 500 Nm of torque. In the current model, power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission. A mechanical change to note is the new EPAS (electric steering) system, which should further ease maneuverability in cities.
