2016 Honda Amaze (facelift) launched in Nepal

Introduces new CVT Earth Dreams unit for the petrol variant.

Syakar Trading Pvt. Ltd. (STC), authorized distributor for Honda cars in Nepal, has launched the 2016 Honda Amaze (facelift). As of now, STC has not revealed the prices of the new Honda Amaze, although it's expected to be similar to the outgoing model's pricing.

The facelift adopts a more aggressive front end with a larger intake, new foglamp enclosures and a bolder dual slat chrome grille that houses an upright Honda logo. While the side profile remains unchanged, the rear-end only gets updated taillight clusters.

Inside, the facelifted Amaze features an all new dashboard design sourced from the Honda BR-V, which is finished dual tone beige and black, and trimmed with silver highlights as well as piano black and matte black plastics. It also gets automatic climate control, a new MID inspired by the Honda Jazz and a 2-DIN music system with bluetooth streaming and telephony.

The Honda Amaze for the Nepalese market is only available with a 1.2L i-VTEC petrol engine, which produces 87 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 109 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. Tranmission options include a 5-speed manual and an all new CVT with Honda's Earth Dreams technology. It is capable of averaging an ARAI-certified fuel economy of 18.1 km/L.
