With the increase in demand, it appears that the waiting period for the Vitara Brezza has increased to six month, reportedly. The reason is attributed to the production capacity of its plant in Gurugram, which is currently struggling to meet the market demand. Maruti Suzuki does plan on increasing the production to 120,000 units per year of the Vitara Brezza soon; a significant increase from the planned 80,000 units per year before the launch.

The Vitara Brezza is one of Maruti's key contributors in increasing Maruti sales figures this year. Not only has it helped them achieve nearly 50% market share in April, but also increased the company's UV sales by a whopping 260.4 percent in the same month. Key reasons for its success could be its highly competitive pricing, Maruti's presence in the Indian market, and an attractive list of equipment.

In the festive season, MSIL will extend its advantage by introducing a petrol variant of the Vitara Brezza. Reports suggest that it will pack the 1.0L Boosterjet engine, Maruti's first turbocharged petrol engine. For now, buyers only have the 90PS 1.3L DDiS turbodiesel engine paired to a 5-speed MT.
