The Datsun redi-GO was spotted in Coimbatore, ahead of its launch in the market that takes place on June 1. Datsun has already confirmed that the redi-GO will be priced between INR 2.5 Lakh - 3.5 Lakhs.
The redi-GO is Datsun's third product in the Indian market, and will ride on the same CMF-A platform as the Renault Kwid. Measuring 3,430 mm long, it is slightly shorter than the Renault Kwid's 3,679 mm length, but has a best-in-class ground clearance of 185 mm.
The top-end variant of the redi-GO will be equipped with LED daytime running lights, front power windows, power steering, a music system with radio/CD/USB/AUX input and an optional driver airbag. The interior is finished in beige with fabric upholstery for the seats.

Under the hood is a three-cylinder 0.8-liter petrol engine developing 54 hp at 5,678 rpm and 72 Nm at 4,388 rpm. The only available transmission is a 5-speed manual gearbox, and the redi-GO is capable of an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 25.17 km/l, making it one of the most fuel efficient petrol hatchbacks in its segment.
