Omni Auto has posted a rendering of the sixth generation VW Polo, which is expected to be unveiled in June 2017. It comes as a long-time replacement for the current VW Polo, which has been in international markets for almost 8 years.
The styling appears to draw cues from the company's latest design language that influences the new Tiguan and Passat. It is expected to slightly grow in size for more interior space, although exact dimensions don't exist at this moment.
The 2017 VW Polo will drop the PQ25 platform for the new MQB A0 platform, which is understood to be smallest version of the MQB platform. With the new platform, the Polo is expected to be lighter yet more rigid for improved safety.

Engine lineup of the VW Polo Mk6 will include three- and four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines with TSI and TDI technologies, respectively. Higher variants will be offered with a DSG automatic gearbox, while a manual transmission is likely to be standard in base variants. Also in the cards are e-Polo (EV) and Polo PHEV (hybrid) variants.
