The South American-spec Renault Kwid will feature minimal changes compared to the model sold in India, as seen in patent images. It gets body coloured door handles, larger ORVMs, and lighter body cladding, while the ground clearance appears to be a little lower.

For the Brazilian market, the Kwid could be equipped with ABS as standard, so as to meet the minimum safety regulations. The car will pack a 1.0-litre SCe three-cylinder engine that will specially be tuned to run on petrol and ethanol. A 5-speed manual transmission will be standard, while an Easy-R automated manual transmission may be offered in higher grades.
