Piaggio has showcased the Moto Guzzi Audace and the Moto Guzzi Eldorado at the Auto Expo 2016 in Greater Noida. Both the California 1400 models are already on sale in India.
The Audace and the Eldorado are powered by the same 1,380 cc air-cooled 90 degree V-twin engine with oil-cooler, that produces 96.5 PS at 6,500 rpm and 121 Nm at 3,000 rpm, mated to a six-speed transmission. The motorcycles feature a closed double cradle steel tubular chassis, 46 mm fork, swingarm with double shock absorber with spring preload and adjustable extension, dual 320 mm stainless steel disc brake with Brembo radial callipers that has 4 horizontally opposed pistons, 282 mm SS fixed disc brake with Brembo floating calliper that has 2 parallel pistons, 130/70 R18 front tyre, 200/60 R16 rear tyre and a 20.5-litre fuel tank.
The differences between the two California 1400 models include the headlamp, rear shocks, wheels (spoke and alloy), rear seat structure, and the exhaust. The Moto Guzzi Audace is priced at INR 21.92 lakhs and the Moto Guzzi Eldorado is priced at INR 22.23 lakhs (ex-showroom, Pune).
