The Honda Navi has been completely developed from scratch by the company’s Indian R&D team. The project kicked off with an aim to develop an affordable motorcycle specifically for the rural market, but mid-way it took a contrasting detour wherein they developed an unconventional, mini motorcycle that is targeted at the urban market.

The Honda Navi is based on an underbone chassis that is suspended by an inverted telescopic fork and a spring loaded hydraulic shock absorber. The 101 kg motorcycle is powered by the Honda Activa’s powertrain which is the 109.19 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine mated to a V-matic automatic transmission. The motor is tuned to produce 7.83 hp at 7,000 rpm and 8.96 Nm at 5,500 rpm.
