Reported to debut at Auto Expo 2016.

Tata is working on a sub-4m sedan based on the Tata Zica, which is expected to debut at the Auto Expo 2016. It will replace the Tata Indigo eCS in the personal car market, and is unofficially called 'Tata Sway.' TAI member 'DJ Bro' has rendered the vehicle.

The Tata Zica-based sedan will replace the Tata Indigo eCS in the personal buyer segment, and is rumored to be called the Tata Sway.

The Zica sedan will be one of the least expensive in the market, and rival base variants of the Hyundai Xcent, the Ford Figo Aspire, the Maruti DZire and Honda Amaze. It will carryover all features from the Zica, which include dual front airbags, ABS, multifunction steering wheel and the 8-speaker 2-DIN audio system with AUX, USB, and Bluetooth.

It will also borrow the engines from the Zica: a 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine that produces 85 PS at 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm, and the 1.05-litre three-cylinder Revotorq diesel motor that produces 70 PS and 140 Nm rpm. Both would initially be offered only with five-speed manual transmissions, while an AMT option can be introduced at a later time, once the supply is secure.
