World premiere at Auto Expo 2016 next week.
New and up close spyshots of the Tata Nexon in its production body have been sent to us by Abhishek Joshi. It will make its world premiere at the Auto Expo 2016 next week, and serve as Tata's first ever sub-4m SUV.
Tata Motors' design chief Pratap Bose, confirmed that the crossover will measure 3995 mm long. The Ford EcoSport rival, he said, will be very close in design to the Nexon concept which was revealed at the 2014 Auto Expo.
Spyshots of the interior have revealed the Tata Zest-inspired design, short-diameter three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, and rotary dials for the HVAC system. Top-end grades could get the Harman touchscreen system and automatic climate control.

The Nexon will be built on the Tata X1 platform which supports the Bolt and Zest. The engine lineup is rumored to include the 1.3-liter Fiat-sourced MultiJet diesel engine paired to manual and automated manual transmissions. The petrol variant could pack the turbocharged version of the all-new aluminum 1.2-liter three-cylinder Revotron engine that debuted in the Zica hatchback.
The Nexon is expected to launch by the end of the year.
