Rear of the Fiat Tipo hatchback spotted up close – Spied
It goes without saying that I’m a huge petrolhead and can apparently convert all my driving emotions into words you can read.
Will replace the Fiat Bravo.
New, up close spyshots of the Fiat Tipo hatchback has surfaced online, courtesy of Carblog Italia. FCA is expected to take the wraps off the Fiat Tipo hatchback at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March.
The spyshots offer a closer look at the rear end of the Fiat Tipo hatchback, which sports a long pair of taillamps that extend to the side, a chrome strip connecting the taillamps, subtle rear spoiler and concealed exhaust pipes. The front-end looks largely identical to the Fiat Tipo sedan, which was launched in Italy at EUR 12,500 last November.
Engine lineup will be sourced from its sedan brother, which includes a 90 PS 1.3-liter and 120 PS 1.6-liter Multijet diesel engines, along with a 1.6-liter E-Torq and a 1.4-liter ‘FIRE’ petrol engines. A 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic will serve as the transmission options.
Along with the Tipo sedan, the Fiat Tipo hatchback will be manufactured at the TOFAS plant in Bursa, Turkey, and also exported to markets like the UK, where the car will compete with the Seat Leon and Ford Focus. Later on, an estate bodystyle will be added to range, which was spotted testing for the first time this month.
