Baleno has over 70,000 bookings.
Consumer Querimetrix (a tool introduced by Kotak Institutional Equities in collaboration with Google), which analyzes Google Trends data, states that the Maruti Baleno is the most searched cars on Google, thereby calling it "the most successful car launch in recent times" as far as digital inquiries are concerned.

Digital inquiries for the Suzuki Baleno seems to have eclipsed others. The search share captured by the recently launched Maruti Suzuki Baleno is far ahead of peers. Although most recent launches delivered relatively lower digital interest, the search-share for the Baleno has reached the pitch last seen during the launch of Ford Ecosport in 2013. Among the rest, Renault Kwid manages to outshine with its aggressive pricing and SUV-type looks.
The Baleno was launched in the last week of October 2015, and has quickly garnered over 70,000 bookings and commands a waiting period of up to six months. While prices started at INR 4.99 lakhs, ex-Showroom, New Delhi, Maruti increased prices by INR 5,000-12,000 earlier in the month.

India will be the only country to manufacture the Baleno, according to Maruti-Suzuki. The premium hatchback will be exported to markets worldwide, starting with Europe this month. At the upcoming edition of the Auto Expo, Maruti will present a sporty Baleno RS with a slew of cosmetic modifications and possibly the 1.0-liter turbocharged Boosterjet petrol engine.
