Honda NAVi, mystery concept models announced for Auto Expo - IAB Report

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has teased the Honda NAVi online and announced that 10 new models will be showcased at the Auto Expo 2016, which will comprise of four concepts and six Indian launches. The latter will include four facelifts of existing motorcycles, and the concepts will include two new mystery models.

Honda NAVi is expected to debut a new school of design that HMSI would adopt in its upcoming two wheelers. The caption 'a new kind of ride' suggests that the NAVi would break convention.

The company has mentioned that the Honda EV Cub concept and the Honda NeoWing (three wheeler) concept will be presented. While their stall will host the MotoGP racer, Honda RC213V, the show stopper will be the Honda NAVi which is said to be a two wheeler that will target the youth.

It is unclear if the NAVi is a scooter or a motorcycle; while some media reports speculate that it is an all-new scooter that would have a brand new design language appealing to the audience that is young at heart.

HMSI will announce that it will soon start producing a global superbike in India. The company has only revealed that it will appeal to the adventurers, indicating that it will be an adventure tourer.

HMSI has also said that they will expand their 'Make In India' operations by locally producing 'a global superbike offering for the adventurers at heart'. The model will be announced at the Auto Expo. Judging from their description, it could be the next generation Honda 400X, Honda 500X or the the Honda NC750X.

There will be an entertainment activity for children involving 'Chhota Bheem' character, and a 'Safety For Everyone' workshop for all age groups that will spread the awareness for safety and educate the best practices with skilled instructors.
