As seen in the second teaser as well as spyshots, the Maruti Vitara Brezza will feature a distinct front-end characterized by small headlamps with LED DRLs, which flow into the vertical slat grille housing the Suzuki badge. The bumper sports a sizable radiator grille flanked by foglamps.

Like the Baleno, the Vitara Brezza is expected to offer ABS, EBD and dual front airbags as standard. Other features in the pipeline include reverse parking sensors with parking camera, a touchscreen SmartPlay entertainment system, keyless entry with push button start, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and automatic climate control.

Under the hood, Maruti Suzuki is expected to offer a choice between a 1.3-liter DDiS diesel engine or a 1.2-liter K-Series petrol engine, which could get the option of a CVT (or an AMT) in addition to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It’s unclear if the Vitara Brezza will get Suzuki’s SHVS mild hybrid tech in the diesel variant.

The Vitara Brezza will slot in the segment that comprises of the Mahindra TUV300, Ford EcoSport and the yet-to-be-launched Tata Nexon. It will be sold through Maruti’s regular chain of dealerships, rather than the premium car NEXA outlets, according to reports.
