BMW 3 Series LCI (facelift) launched in India, priced from INR 35,90,000 - IAB Report

New grade added - BMW 320d M Sport.

BMW India has announced the launch of the BMW 3 Series LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) today, ahead of its public premiere at the Auto Expo 2016. Other than the usual Prestige, Sport Line and Luxury Line, BMW has added a new top-end grade - BMW 320d M Sport. Ex-showroom Prices range from INR 35,90,000 to INR 44,50,000.

As seen at its unveil in May 2015 and the showcases at the following motor shows across the world, the new BMW 3 Series gets a re-profiled front bumper housing a pair of revised air intakes. The facelift adds Adaptive LED headlights as optional equipment , while Bi-Xenon lights with new LED DRLs are standard. At the back, it gets a sculpted bumper and new LED clusters for L-shaped taillights.

The new M Sport grade will serve as the top-end option. It features the M aerodynamic package, an M leather steering wheel, front sports seats and Driving Experience Control switch with additional Sport+ mode, BMW Navigation System Professional and full colour BMW Head-up Display.

Engine lineup of the 3 Series LCI only comprises of the 2.0-liter TwinPower turbodiesel engine, which produces 190 PS and 400 Nm of torque, and is paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Furthermore, steering-mounted paddle shifters are now offered as standard across the range (except the 320d Prestige).

BMW India has also confirmed that the petrol variant will be re-introduced later in 2016. It is likely to be the BMW 320i variant, which packs a 2.0-liter engine with 184 PS and 290 Nm of torque, paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
