It is reported that the Apache 200 could outperform the KTM Duke 200 in terms of acceleration by being able to sprint from 0-60 km/h in under 3.5 seconds. The report does not mention the rate of acceleration of the Apache, while the Duke 200 is known to sprint from 0-60 km/h in close-to 3.30 seconds. Hence it is unclear if the Apache 200 will indeed be quicker than the Duke.

The TVS Apache 200 is powered by an air-cooled single-cylinder engine. The publication reports that this motor could produce around 28 PS of maximum power and 22-25 Nm of peak torque, and that it will be mated to a five-speed gearbox. Its competitor, the KTM Duke 200, is powered by a water-cooled single-cylinder engine with DOHC and four valves, that produces 25.4 PS and 19.2 Nm, mated to a close-ratio six-speed transmission.
