Plans to have 1500 dealerships by 2020.
In an interview with ET Auto, Tata Motors President for passenger vehicle business, Mayank Pareek, said that the company is planning to launch two new products every year to fill in product gaps and enhance its portfolio.
He said:
We have lots of gaps in our portfolio. Naturally, these have to be filled. We have a road map to fill these gaps. Going forward, you will see two new products from us every year.
Mr Pareek has also confirmed that Tata Motors will launch a compact SUV as well as hinted at a large SUV for the near future, which are likely to be the production-spec Tata Nexon and Tata Hexa. The Tata Nexon is currently undergoing testing and is expected to be revealed at the Auto Expo 2016, followed by a launch later that year.

Other initiatives to raise Tata's market share include expanding its sales network. Tata ended the last fiscal year with a total of 500 dealerships across India. In the next 4 years, the company plans to triple that number to 1500, of which as many as 200 outlets will be opened in the current fiscal.
