India-made 2015 VW Polo sedan (VW Vento facelift) launched in Argentina - IAB Report

The 2015 VW Polo sedan (known as VW Vento in India) has been launched in Argentina. It is offered only with the 1.6-litre petrol engine. The sedan was premiered in the market at the local Motor Show in the Hall of Buenos Aires last June.

The Polo sedan for Argentina is powered by the 1.6-litre 16-valve petrol engine that is offered in India. It is tuned to produce 105 hp at 5,250 rpm and 153 Nm at 3,750 rpm. The engine gets a choice of 5-speed manual or 6-speed Tiptronic transmission; both send power to the front wheels. The manual version has a top speed of 188 km/h while the automatic variant is capable of 183 km/h.

The standard features include dual front airbags, ABS, Isofix child seat mount, power windows, automatic climate control, cruise control, RCD 320G music system with radio, CD, MP3, USB, SD Card, Aux and Bluetooth support, and 15-inch alloy wheels.

The India-made VW Polo sedan is priced in Argentina at ARS 237,600 (INR 16.39 lakhs) for the Comfortline Manual version and ARS 251,400 (INR 17.34 lakhs) for the Comfortline Tiptronic variant. The car gets three years or 100,000 kilometers warranty.
