Brazilian spec Renault Kwid will get a 1.0-liter Flex engine.

As reported earlier, the Renault Kwid will not be exclusive to the Indian market and will be launched in the emerging markets of the world. While we had shown you the patented images of the South America-spec of the Kwid, here's a rendering of the Renault Kwid for Brazil.

For South America, the Renault Kwid (LHD specification) will receive new fog lamp enclosures and miss out on the door cladding seen in the Indian version.

Essentially, the Brazil-spec version of the Kwid will miss the black cladding on its door panels that's seen on the Indian version, gets body coloured door handles, while the ground clearance appears a little lower. The Kwid for the Brazil market, in left-hand drive configuration, will be produced locally and will, reportedly, replace the two-generation old Renault Clio Mio, when it is launched next year.

The Brazil spec Kwid will reportedly get a bigger 1.0-liter 12 valve 3-cylinder engine that will produce 77 hp, and have petrol and ethanol compatibility. A 5-speed manual gearbox will be standard, while an AMT is also reckoned.

The Kwid kicked up a storm in India by receiving over 50,000 orders 5 weeks after the launch, forcing the company to ramp up production for the model in the alliance manufacturing facility in Chennai. In its first full month managed to grab a whopping share of 10 percent in the country's single largest passenger car segment.
