2.5-liter KD engine replaced by the new 2.4-liter GD unit.
A report on Otomotif Kompass estimates prices of the 2016 Toyota Innova which is expected to launch on November 23 in Indonesia. The publication states that prices of the 2016 Innova petrol will see an increase of 6 million IDR (INR 28,709), whereas that of the diesel model will see an increase of 25 million IDR (INR 1.19 lakhs).
The increase is significant in case of the diesel model owing to the switch to the next generation 'GD' diesel engine. The 2.4-liter diesel engine, which replaces the 2.5-liter KD engine, develops 149 PS at 3,400 rpm and 36.7 kgm of torque on the AT variant and 34.9 kgm of torque on the MT variants.
The 2016 Innova petrol will use a 2.0-liter petrol engine developing 139 PS at 5,600 rpm and 18.7 kgm of torque at 4,700 rpm. The petrol engine too will be offered with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic.
To recap, all variants of the 2016 Innova for the Indonesian market will get ABS, EBD and three airbags (dual front and driver's knee) as standard. Initially, the Innova will come in three variants - G, V and Q. The top-end Q variant is confirmed to get LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Indonesia is expected to start manufacturing the 2016 Innova from the second week of November.
