To be available on petrol manual, petrol AMT, and diesel versions.

Maruti Suzuki is reported by Team-BHP to be working on adding ABS and dual front airbags as an option on entry- and mid-level variants. The optional safety pack will be offered to all powertrain trims, including petrol manual, petrol AMT and diesel manual variants. It is likely that the CNG variant, the Maruti Celerio Green, would also receive the optional safety pack.

An option, (O), variant would be offered on every version of the Maruti Celerio, adding ABS and dual front airbags.

New variants LXi (O) manual, VXi (O) manual, LXi (O) AMT, VXi (O) AMT, ZXi (O) AMT, LDi (O) and VDi (O) are expected to be added to the variant lineup, and the report also suggests that a similar optional safety pack would be offered on other Maruti cars in the future.

A similar exercise is expected to be carried out on other Maruti cars in the future.

It is to be noted that the Maruti Celerio has been a prime candidate for the company to introduce disruptive technologies in the Indian market. This includes the AMT, Suzuki's first in-house attempt at a diesel engine (the 793 cc two-cylinder turbodiesel unit), and now possibly the optional safety pack through the variant walk. The SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) however was debuted on the Maruti Ciaz.
