HMA (Hyundai Middle East and Africa) has confirmed that it will launch the Hyundai Creta in the Middle Eastern market later this year, which will accompany the all new 2016 Hyundai Tucson and 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. They are likely to make their Middle Eastern debut at the 2015 Dubai Motor Show on November 10.

Currently, HMIL has ramped up production by 50 percent to meet the large demand for the Hyundai Creta.

The Middle East and Africa will be the first few export markets for HMIL (Hyundai Motors India Limited) following Nepal, that will manufacture and export the Creta from their plant in Chennai. However, given the large demand (54,000 bookings since June) in India, reports suggest that Hyundai has deferred export plans by a few months, that could limit allocation to export markets.

For the Middle East, the Hyundai Creta is likely to pack a 1.6-liter four-cylinder DOHC with Dual VTVT and 16 valves producing 123 PS at 6,400 rpm and 151 Nm of torque at 4,850 rpm. While a 6-speed manual is standard, higher variants would feature an automatic gearbox.
