HMIL has already commenced exports of the Creta to markets like Vietnam and Nepal.

At present, the CEO revealed that the company's manufacturing facility in Chennai makes around 7,000 units of each model every month. Going forth, HMIL plans on increasing this figure to 9,000-10,000 a month, in order to reduce waiting periods.

When the Creta was initially launched in July 2015, HMIL was making around 5,000 units of the compact SUV each month. Owing to unprecedented demand (HMIL has received over 54,000 bookings since launch), production of the Creta was increased to around 7,500 this month.

Apart from the domestic market, HMIL also exports the Creta to markets like Nepal and Vietnam, and will reportedly export to Middle Eastern markets and Algeria from 2016.
